Margaret Diaddigo

Margaret “Maranchik” Diaddigo, 94, of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday August 24, 2016 at William Penn Care Center in Jeannette, Pennsylvania

She was born on February 5, 1922 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late John and Katherine (Compel) Maranchik and was a member of the St. George Byzantine Catholic Church in Aliquippa. Margaret was the valedictorian of her graduating class of 1940 at Aliquippa High school and enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, and had a special passion for the game of baseball. She was one of the highest average ten pin bowlers of all women in Beaver County when she was an active bowler. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to visit her relatives in Slovakia.

In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Diaddigo; and a brother John Maranchik.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Debbie Diaddigo of Pittsburgh, Thomas Diaddigo of Corning, New York; five grandchildren; Matthew (Regina) Diaddigo, Michael (Rhiannon) Diaddigo, Beth ( Jeff) Hoffman, Lisa Brookfield, Jill (Travis) Grant; ten great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
