Dear Aunt Marge,
Not a Christmas goes by that I do not think of you and your kindness. As a young kid that you had only just met- you showed me kindness by standing up for me and then suprising me by placing money in my hand. (You told me never to tell.) I had nothing that Chritsmas and you helped make it special. The following year - you sent me a gold purse with matching gold shoes. How they sparkled under the tree. My only gifts. Of course - you also sent a pair of black leather shoes that had gotten "misplaced" in the back of my mother's closet. I think of you as the "Italian Mrs. Claus." Thank you.

John,
You and I have been fortunate to grow up in close families, and we know how dearly we were loved and protected. We thought it was the way for everyone. Only in adulthood did we learn how truly special an upbringing we had. How painful it must be to lose a loving mother, regardless of age. It's difficult for me to imagine your grief now, and I pray you soon gain peace through all the fond memories of your mom that so many years provided.
With sincere sympathy,
Donna

John, My sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom. She was a woman of grace and elegant manner that compelled the respect of all who came to know her. The years I spent working for your parents at the bowling alley were some of the most fun years of my youth, and both your Mom and your Dad had a most positive influence on me. I learned a great deal from them about how to deal with people.

Sincerely,
Ken Maylone
