Dundee A Simoni

Dundee A. Simoni, Sr.,  85, of Hopewell Twp.,  passed away on Wednesday,  September 9, 2015

Born on April 22, 1930 he was the son of the late Sam and Anatolia (Refice) Simoni and a member of Saint Titus Catholic Church, as well OCAW, Local 87.  Dundee was retired from Arco Chemical where he worked as a material operator and he was the owner of Dundee’s Market in the Plan 11 section of Aliquippa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Arnold, and Emilio Simoni; a sister, Antoinette D’Annable; and a dear family friend, Robert “Con” Cannon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Gladys (Pajak) Simoni; two sons; Sam Simoni and his companion Betty Guzzie of Henderson, NV; Dundee  Simoni Jr. of Allison Park, PA; two daughters; Elaine Cekovich of Hopewell Twp; Cheryl Liberati and her husband Ernie  of McCandless Twp.; four grandchildren; Annamarie Liberati, Austin, TX; Christina Liberati, Dormont; and Adrienne Liberati, Erie, PA; Joseph Cekovich, Morgantown, WV; four sisters,  Mary Salvati of Hopewell Twp; Nellie Deutsch and Jean Sirko of Center  Twp.; and Alice Hamilton of Hopewell Twp.

The family would like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice, especially  Peggy, for the loving and compassionate care they provided to Dundee and his family.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2pm- 4pm and 6pm-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street; Aliquippa Pa 15001 www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered Tuesday at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in Saint Titus Catholic  Church

Interment  will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic  Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.
