Lena M. (Testa) Bufalini

Lena M. (Testa) Bufalini, 93, formerly of Aliquippa, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015.

She was born on September 13, 1921 in Ambridge, a daughter of the late Giacinto and Carolina (D’Alessandris) Testa, and she was a former member of St. Titus Catholic Church.  Lena worked alongside her husband for many years in the family dry cleaning and tailoring business in the plan 11 section of Aliquippa.  She was a great homemaker and excellent cook.  To Lena, family was everything.  She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bufalini; two brothers, Peter Testa, and Henry Testa; and two sisters, Mary Salvati, and Melania Palma.

She is survived by a loving son, Frank Bufalini and his wife Gloria, Center Twp.; a loving daughter, Carol Woodruff and her husband Ralph, Erie, Colorado; four grandchildren, Valerie Lombardi and her husband Fred, of Colorado; Laura Vukmanovich, of Colorado; Danielle Bufalini, of New York City; and Mark Bufalini, of Brooklyn, NY; and two great grandchildren, Mia Carolina Lombardi; and Max Lombardi.  Lena is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, both locally and in Italy.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Caring Heights Nursing Home in Coraopolis for the outstanding and excellent care provided to Lena over the years.  They would  also like to thank the staff at  Good Samaritan Hospice.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
