Gregory John Vidmar

Gregory John Vidmar, 68, a life long resident of  Aliquippa, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016.

He was born on January 20, 1948 in Rochester, a son of the late John Henry and AnnaMarie (DiPietro) Vidmar and he was a graduate of Aliquippa High School.  His classmates may remember him as Tom Jones in the senior class play.  Gregory was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church and he was a welder by trade.  He also served honorably in the U.S. Navy and   he was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports teams.

He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Adrienne and Dominic Romeo, Sr.; three nephews, Dominic Romeo, Jr. and his wife Dorothee; John Romeo and his wife Lisa; and Michael Romeo; and five great nieces and nephews, Madeline and Christian Romeo; Gabrielle and Sebastien Romeo; and Zackary Pelescak.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Beaver Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center and the Mother Teresa Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Gregory.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 9am until the time of departing prayers at 12:30pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1pm in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Private interment will take place at a future date.
