Daniel E. Danehy

Daniel E. Danehy, 82, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.

He was born on July 4, 1933 in Woburn, MA a son of the late Webster and Helen (Dougherty) Danehy and he was retired as a Master Sergeant  from the U.S. Air Force where he served for 22 years.  He was a flight engineer during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.  Daniel loved hunting and fishing, and crossword puzzles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine (Paul) Danehy; a brother, Charles Danehy; and a sister, Ann Martin.

He is survived by a son, Dale Danehy and his wife Carol, Jacksonville, NC; two daughters, Ellen Stinnette and her husband Raymond, Clinton, PA; and Karen Coffman and her husband Kenny, Burgettstown, PA; four grandchildren, Adam Stinnette and his wife Kayla; Ashley (Stinnette) Withers; David Danehy and his wife Cyndi; and Sarah Bukovsky and her husband Damien; four great grandchildren, Mackenzie; Daniel; Richard; and Kyle; two brothers, John Danehy and his wife Maureen, Chicago, IL; and Hugh Danehy and his wife Jeannette, of Massachusetts; a sister, Helen Boring and her husband John, San Jacinto, CA; and  a sister-in-law, Sandra Danehy, North Billerica, MA.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10am.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the cemetery on Monday at 10:45am to conduct full military honors.
