William "Bill" Laney

William “Bill” Laney, 77, of Raccoon Twp., passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024.

He was born on February 8, 1947 in Sewickley, PA, the son of the late William and Ruth (Murphy) Laney.  Bill was a member of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish-St. Titus Catholic Church where he was active in the choir.  He was a retired steamfitter from local 449.

Bill is survived by his wife, Linda (Johnson) Laney; a son, Jeffrey Laney; a daughter, Vickie Laney; two grandchildren, Jennifer Farley; and Rebecca Fifield and her husband Brett; three great grandchildren, Emma Farly; Wyatt Fifield; and Parker Fifield; and two aunts, Violet Murphy and Helen Murphy Baker. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2pm until 6pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vicent DePaul Society at St. Titus Catholic Church.
