Virginia Mae (Gray) Skelton, 96, of Hopewell Township, died early Tuesday morning, December 14, 2021 at Rochester Villa and Manor.
Born April 24, 1925 in Bellevue, PA, Virginia was a daughter of the late Edward M. and Emma Gray, longtime Aliquippa residents. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Telford; son-in-law Larry Blaney; three brothers Edward, James and Donald Gray, and a sister Thelma Gray Smith.
Virginia is survived by her three children, Robert T. Skelton (Clearwater, FL), Carolyn Ann (Skelton) Blaney (Hopewell) and Cathy Jean “CJ” (Skelton) Kitchener (Dunedin, FL); two grandchildren, Kelly R. (Blaney) Dzvonick and her husband Steven (Aspinwall, PA) and Maxwell S. Kitchener (New Port Richey, FL) and two great grandchildren, Giana Nicole Dzvonick (Aspinwall, PA) and Allie Mae Kitchener (Clearwater, FL), in addition to a daughter-in-law, Sonja Louise (Hansen) Skelton (Clearwater, FL)
A faithful member of the First Methodist Church of Aliquippa, Virginia’s community activities included serving as an active member and officer of the Woodlawn Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the Aliquippa Women’s Club.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 16th from 4pm to 8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com The Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, December 17 at 11am in the funeral home. Rev. Ross Pryor, First Methodist Church pastor, will officiate.
Interment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, 273 Route 68, Rochester following the funeral.
