Robert Vaughn Kimble, Sr. (“Vaughn”) of Hopewell Township passed away on Friday, December 6 of chronic lung disease. He was born on November 1, 1932 in Rush Run, West Virginia, the youngest son of the late Albert Adison and Ella Mae (Whipkey) Kimble. After marrying and moving to Aliquippa, he joined J&L Steel as a laborer in 1957 and worked his way through the ranks to becoming a Millwright. In 1983, he retired from the Aliquippa Works and subsequently was employed for ten years with the Hopewell Area School District in the maintenance department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coraopolis. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Anna M. Kimble (Little) and their three children, Robert Vaughn Kimble, Jr. (Robin) of Gibsonia; Sharon Ann Kimble of Sewickley; and Paul Edward Kimble, Sr. (Lori) of Barstow, California. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Robert Matthew Kimble (Christy) of Coraopolis and their three children, Piper Elizabeth, Phebe Catherine, and Fisher Matthew Kimble; Jonathan David Kimble and his fiancée Samantha Miller of Moon Township; Rachel Leigh Schwer (Mark) of Center Township and their two children, Reagan Olivia and Elliott Clapton Schwer; Zachary Austin Kimble (Jamie) of Mercer and their daughter June Avery Kimble; and Clancy Jane Kimble, Paul Edward (“Chip”) Kimble, Jr., and John Addison (“Jack”) Kimble of Barstow, California. He is also survived by two nephews, Alan Kimble and Bryan Kimble. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Coraopolis, 1443 Coraopolis Heights Road, Moon Township, PA 15108. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Coraopolis.
