Robert E. Ebel

Robert (Bob) E. Ebel passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the age of 97.                       .

He was born on August 24, 1926 to Anna M. (Mylin) and George Joseph Ebel of Aliquippa.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Catherine Bibby (William), a brother George E. Ebel (Mae) and a brother Thomas.

He is survived by a sister-in-law Nancy Ebel, numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Bob served in the US Army in the Pacific during WWII. 

A lifetime resident of Aliquippa, PA, he worked as an Electrical Foreman for the J&L Steel/LTV until his retirement.

He enjoyed building jigsaw puzzles, crafts and playing games. He enjoyed the casino.  He was always up for an adventure and traveled extensively.  He could be ready to go in the blink of an eye. He especially loved the beach and ocean but most of all his family.  Bob always had a song in his heart and on his lips.  His annual family Christmas parties will be a fond memory to all.

Robert was a faithful member of Mary Queen of Saints Parish, St. Titus Church, Aliquippa.  

He will be missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, it was Uncle Bob’s request that donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Titus Church. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 9:30am until the time of departing prayers at 10:30am in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com which will be followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
