Richard Christman, 85, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
He was born on July 5, 1937 in Library, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Jacob and Martha (Jenkins) Christman.
Richard was retired from the U.S. Government where he worked as the Director of the Phoenix Indian School, he also served as the Superintendent of the Papago Agency now the Tohono O’odham Tribe for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
He served in many capacities for The Church of Jesus Christ (Headquarters Monongahela, PA.) including missionary to many countries in Central and South America and Native American Reserves here in the U.S., as well as serving as an Apostle for the Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (Neill) Christman; a son Joel Christman and Lauren; his daughters Debra Roach and Richard, Cindy Everett and Tom, Melissa Bicelis and Miguel; eleven grandchildren, Sabrina Stults, Brad Everett and Jennie, Heather Shovan and Kris, Patricia Finkbeiner and Jeff, Michelle Reynolds and Michael, Derek Everett and Katie, Josiah, Benjamin, and Micah Bicelis, Kathy Kunkel and Tim, Paxton Chanthaphonh and Caitlin; and ten great grandchildren Jonathan, Alessia, Aliyah, Maddison, Aria, Kylie, Lyla, Ellie, Xavier and Mattis.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 with visitation from 10-11am and service immediately following at the Church of Jesus Christ, 57 Moore Road, Imperial, PA. 15126.
