Reva Marie Roberts

Reva Marie Roberts (Conley), born 02/10/1922 in Beaver Falls PA, died at the Cambridge Pointe P.C. Home in Beaver, PA on 07/30/2023 of natural causes. She previously resided in Hopewell Township with companion Gerald Mountain. Reva was a 1940 graduate of New Brighton H.S. She married Richard L. Chaney, also of New Brighton and the couple gave birth to a son, Richard W. Chaney on 09/05/1943. Richard senior, who had enlisted with the USAF, died in Cuba during wartime service in 1944. After the war Reva married John H. Roberts of Aliquippa, PA (deceased 08/14/1988) and the couple gave birth to 2 sons, Robin L. Roberts 05/28/1952 and Randal J. Roberts 09/10/1956. Reva co-founded the Junior’s Golf Program at Aliquippa Country Club with Vee Massi of Baden, PA with their sons Robin and Robert Massi as original members. Reva was known to be a ‘good golfer’ winning several awards at the club over the years and continuing to play well into her 80’s. Reva, also a member of the Tree Haven Swim Club in Hopewell, was known and loved by many friends in the Beaver Valley area. While her life was mostly devoted to raising 3 sons she was employed at the Woodlawn Building and Loan in Aliquippa, PA from ~ 1970 through1980 . Reva’s extended family, the ‘Conley’s’, were another major part of her long life. Most of those relatives are gone now though many of the children still reside in Ohio. The common meeting grounds with her cousins were the golf course and the Conley Family Reunion in Salem OH. In the late 90’s Reva joined the Better than Ever Independents, a theatrical performance group based in Sewickley PA. Gerry also joined the group in 2008 and they continued performing together until 2019. Reva is survived by her significant other Gerald Mountain, her children Richard Chaney and his wife Mary, their daughters Heather Bridge, her son Nicholas, Robyn Defoney (deceased), and her children Colette and Sarah, and Sarah’s son Ashton; Robin Roberts and partner Kristene Asbell, their daughter Kahlia Roberts and partner Kate Nicholson; Randy Roberts, his wife Karen and their children Bradley Roberts, his partner Stacey Interdonato, and Courtney Roberts, her partner Matthew Montes and their son Sage. Reva is also survived by her sister-in-law Kate Hoey of New Brighton PA and her children. She is preceded in death by her brothers Robert Hoey of New Brighton PA and Wayne Conley of Florida.
