Obituary
Raymond “Rich” Ozimok, 79, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023.
He was born on March 1, 1944 in Rochester, PA, a son of the late John and Anna Ozimok. Rich was a member of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church. He graduated from Hopewell High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the 101st Airborne Division in the Vietnam War where he received multiple medals including the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars; Army Commendation Medal; and the Bronze Star Metal for rifle expertise. Rich enjoyed hunting and fishing, tinkering on automobiles, watching movies and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George and John Ozimok; and sister Mary Ozimok.
Rich is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ozimok; sons, Richard Ozimok and Eric (Erin) Ozimok; granddaughters, Elliot and Evynn Ozimok; brother, Ronald “Jim” Ozimok; sister, Anne Shapert; and niece and nephews, Annie; John and Joseph.
Per Rich’s wishes, there will not be a viewing and he will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
