He was born in Gioiosa Ionica, Italy on January 22nd, 1935. He resided in Messina, Italy until the age of 15 when he immigrated to the United States. His parents Joseph and Julia (Ameduri) Agostino preceded him in death.

He was previously married to the former Molly Jean Mentzer and is survived by his children, son Joseph (Madeline) Agostino and daughter Tonya (William) Baker.

Very patriotic, Reno was appreciative of his citizenship and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He received an honorable discharge from the Army in 1957. He will always be remembered by his family as having a good work ethic. He was employed by Aetna Standard for 30 years as a machinist.

Reno was a naturally gifted architect and builder. He owned and operated various Ellwood City area businesses : The Olympic Spa, Shine’s Diner in Koppel, and Reno Agostino’s Italian Restaurant and Lounge.

Reno was a passionate golfer, who once won a bet playing 18 holes of golf with a broom and a shovel.  He also was an avid weightlifter. Lastly, Reno was known to many for his generosity especially as he loved to make Italian meals and share them with friends and family. The Agostino family would like to thank the staff of Beaver Elder Care in Aliquippa for their compassionate care given to him in his last days.
