Mary (Cronin) Bright

Mary Bright died Tuesday September 19, 2023 at the wonderful age of 96.  She was the daughter of the late Marie (Schier) and Denis Cronin.  Born and raised in Monaca Pa, she lived most of her adult life in Hopewell Twp.  She graduated from Monaca High School and the Beaver Valley School of Nursing.  Her career was focused in blood banking, retiring from the Western Pa Red Cross as Director of Nursing.  A faithful Catholic, Mary was baptized and married at St John the Baptist in Monaca. Mary and her husband Thomas were married 36 years.  She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Fatima in Hopewell.  During her last years, she found a wonderful community at St David the King in West Windsor, NJ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, a sister Delores, and a brother Joseph.

She is survived by sons Tom (Lisa) and Doug (Sonya) and daughter Melissa; Much-loved grandchildren Francis, Conor, Theresa, Mary Claire, Kerry, Liam and Lucia; brother Norbert; special friends Janet and George McElhaney; and many favorite nieces & nephews.

Mary’s family is especially grateful to the staffs at Bear Creek Assisted Living and Homeside Hospice for the care and dignity they always showed her.

A devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, nurse.…. Mom was a caregiver her entire life and she will be greatly missed.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Chrisitan Burial at 10am in Mary, Queen of Saints Parish-Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
