Loretta K. Lewkowicz, 78, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
She was born on September 26, 1946 in Greene County, PA, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Kocerka) Kendralla. Loretta was a devoted member of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish – Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She retired from teaching in 1999, having worked for many years in the Hopewell Area School District. It was fitting that she passed away not only on her birthday, but also the night of Hopewell's Homecoming Parade.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lewkowicz, and her brother, John Kendralla, along with many other family and friends.
She is survived by her “adoptive granddaughter”, her “pride and joy”, Madison, her “adoptive children” Jamie and Bobby, her “sister from another mister” Ginny, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Per Loretta’s wishes, a private burial took place October 4, 2024.
All are welcome to attend a Memorial Mass for Loretta on October 26, 2024 at 10am at Mary, Queen of Saints Parish – Our Lady of Fatima Church.
In lieu of flowers, please donate, in her memory, to the Hopewell High School Viking Language Arts Fund or the Hopewell High School Thanksgiving Food Drive – both of which she was very passionate about both during her teaching career and after retirement. She will forever be a Hopewell Viking!
