Kenneth J. Kanfoush, Jr., 64, of Aliquippa and formerly of Seattle, WA, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at home following a lengthy illness.
Born July 18, 1957 in Sewickley, PA, he was a son Kenneth J. Kanfoush, Sr. and Catherine (Dunphy) Kanfoush. Ken was a graduate of Aliquippa High School, Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing and Slippery Rock University. He retired in 2021 from the University of Washington Medical Center Bone Marrow Transplant Unit where he worked as a registered nurse for 21 years. Prior to relocating to Seattle, he worked at Sewickley, Allegheny General and Ruby Memorial Hospitals. Ken loved nursing and was a compassionate caregiver. While employed at UW, he was a recipient of the Jesse Steinberg Award for Excellence in Nursing and the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nursing. In the past, he was an avid runner and participated in several marathons.
He is survived by his sister, Maureen and his twin brother, Henry, both of Aliquippa as well as many loving cousins and friends.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, (St. Titus Catholic Church).
