John Domitrovich Obituary

With deepest sorrow, we announce that John “Crow” Domitrovich, age 74, of Aliquippa, PA passed away on Friday, October 7th, 2022.

He was a beloved husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, godfather and friend.

He served as a faithful member of St. Titus Catholic Parish and was a millwright for much of his life at HH Robertson/Centria and J&L Structural. He also served his country as a soldier in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

John will be missed everyday by his mother, Geraldine Mae, and her dog Laddie, his siblings Walter “Moonie” (Susie), Frank (Lorna), MaryAnn “Mae” (Vince) Barlow, Anthony (Ginger), Laura “Buffy” (Chuck) Hower, and their families as well as his sister-in-law Rosalia “Bunny” (Bill) Flaherty, along with the many people whose lives John has touched with his kindness and generosity.

We know John is now with his father, Walter “Butsy”, his brother David, sisters Theresa, Celine and Celeste, maternal Grandparents Glen and Mary Hanshew, paternal Grandparents John and Anna Domitrovich, his Godfather Frank Tezulati and is lovingly reunited with his beautiful wife Barbara Ann, who he was married to for 44 years and who passed away in 2021, as well as their dog, ‘Blue’. We know he is loved here on earth as well as in heaven.

His generous spirit and giving heart left an impression wherever he went. He never met a stranger that didn’t become a friend or a person he wouldn’t tease. A few of his favorite targets were the workers at Mac’s Donuts, Giant Eagle Bakery, the Croatian Club Fish Fry, and Stevie’s Deli. He always went out of his way to help anyone in need and his generosity and love will be remembered forever.

We will miss the way he celebrated his Croatian heritage by spending weekends roasting lambs and pigs for every special occasion and holiday while listening to Croatian music, making hundreds of ”butsonies”, homemade bread, and feeding and taking care of as many people as he could fit into the lamb oven pavilion.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, Sister Melanie, Sister Barbara, Father Felix, palliative care, and hospice at AGH for all the love and care they showed him.

We will all miss our beloved “Crow”

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Titus Catholic Church.
