Joan Theresa Rotolo, 93, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on March 3, 2024. She was born on April 29, 1930 in Lilly, PA., a daughter of the late John and Antoinette (Stefanik) Kozak.
She grew up on a farm in the coal mining region of Pennsylvania and is one of fourteen children. Throughout her youth, she cared for many of her younger siblings. She was a loving wife and mother to her husband and four children as well as a devout Christian and member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Raymond and siblings Joseph, John, Francis (Frank), Edward, Charles, Walter (Bill), Marion (Venglass) and Agnes (Phillips). She is survived by two sons: Raymond and Perry Rotolo, two daughters: Donna (Howard) Smith and Lisa (Paul) Fedorka, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four brothers: Thomas (Bonjade) Kozak, Richard (Sandy) Kozak, Robert (Patricia)Kozak, Leonard Kozak, and sister, Patricia (Thomas) Watters, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Friends will be received on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 4pm – 7pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2270 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
