Janet C. (Jumper) Gula

Janet C. (Jumper) Gula, 87, of Aliquippa, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025.  Heaven gains a special Angel today; we will cherish her smile and love in our hearts forever.

She was born on July 6, 1938 in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Ann (Vidovich) Jumper. 

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Gula; a son, James Oaks; a daughter, Kathleen Metropoulos; a sister, Rosemarie Stoops; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ruth Jumper; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne Jumper.

She will be missed by her daughters, Charlene Gaston; and Darlene “Dolly” Palmieri and her husband Richard; son-in-law, Daniel Metropoulos; her grandchildren, Tommie Gaston; Domenic and Melanie Palmieri; Jennifer and John Mosher Johnson; and Dante Palmieri; her great grandchildren, Kylie and Amayah Gaston; Layla and Rylee Mosher Johnson; her brother, Kenneth Jumper; Brother-in-law, Terry Stoops; Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pamela and Daniel Bratich.  Janet will also be missed by cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends as well as the special people that she called her own as they became part of her family by love.

Special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice and Concordia Villa St. Joseph nurses and aids of the Ebensburg wing for their care, and all those who visit, send cards and mostly the prayers on her behalf during this journey.

Friends will be received on Friday from 3pm to 7pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11am.

Private interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
