Helen Marie Stefanik

Helen Marie Stefanik, age 100, of Aliquippa passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019.

She was born on May 12, 1919 in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Antonio and Assunta (Coletta) Nicola.  She was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Edward Arnold; son-in-law, William Hamilton Elliott III; three brothers: Lawrence Nicola; Edward Nicola; and Emilio Nicola (infant); two sisters, Angeline D’Alessandri and Theresa Feenstra.

Helen is survived by a daughter, Donna Jean Elliott; daughter-in-law, Candace Stefanik; grandchildren: Dawn Stefanik; Dana (Gary) Newman; Edward J. (Jennifer) Stefanik; Jonathan (Holly) Stefanik; and Nicole Elliott (Mark Karvosky); great grandchildren: Adelia Stefanik; Josey Stefanik; Olivia Stefanik; George Stefanik; Sophia Stefanik; Catherine Karvosky; and William Karvosky; one sister-in-law, Elide Nicola; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Elena and the late Richard Orsen for selflessly giving their assistance in times of need.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Saturday at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
