Gregory A. Brown

Gregory A. Brown, 66, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Wednesday May 10, 2023.

He was born on April 28, 1957 in Waynesburg, PA, a son of the late Harry and Anna (Magon) Brown. He was a member of Mary, Queen of Saints Catholic Parish - Our Lady of Fatima Church. After graduating from Penn State University with a degree in Journalism, Greg worked as reporter and editor for the Democrat Messenger in Waynesburg. He then went on to serve in the same capacity for the Beaver County Times. He also served as editor for the Pittsburgh Catholic and the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. His latest position was in the Communications Department for FedEx Ground.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia J. (Franks) Brown; a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and David Evans; a son, Ethan Brown; a sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Robert Barzanti; and a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Heather Brown.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Monday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
