George Demetro Scoutus, 88, of Center Twp., passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
He was born on May 25, 1933 in Aliquippa, a son of the late Demetrious Sava and Millie (Gruber) Scoutus. George served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airbourne Division as a Corporal. He also retired from both J&L Steel Corporation and the Center Twp. Police Department. He was a lifetime NRA Pistol Master and he competed in many leagues. He was also a master pistol smith, firearms instructor and he held an FFL. He also loved organic gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Scoutus; a daughter, Nadine Scoutus; and two sisters, Mary Ann Dodaro; and Stacey Brkovich.
He is survived by a daughter, Kristine Bartoletta and her husband Samuel; two granddaughters, Nicole and Dana Bartoletta; and two sisters, Dorothy Kacharian and Anita Light. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
