Gary Steven "Trailer" Delon

Gary Steven “Trailer” Delon, 59, formerly of West Aliquippa died unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, October 4, 2018.

He was born on March 10, 1959 in Aliquippa Hospital, a son of the late Chester and Ann (Hodovanich) Delon.  Gary was preceded in death by his former wife Georgia (Donina) Delon; his step-daughter Regina Betts; his brother Richard Delon; and his brother-in-law Ronald Hribar.

Gary was a retired employee of US Airways at Pittsburgh International Airport where he had been employed for over 25 years.  In his young life, Gary was an active sportsman, playing softball for several community teams.  In his later years he operated the Eagles Club in West Aliquippa.  Gary will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity to all who touched his life.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Phoebe Cline Delon; step-daughter, Autumn Woods; daughter, Nichole (Delon) and her husband, John Wangelin of North Carolina; son, Brandon and Katie Delon of Freedom; step-son, Aaron and Missy Betts of Patterson; and daughter, Natalie Delon of West Aliquippa; sister, Charlotte (Delon) Hribar; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Tom Leheny; and his sister-in-law, Catherine (Kitty) Delon.  He is also survived by his nine grandchildren.  Gary was blessed with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who loved him dearly.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 1pm to 5pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 10:30am.
