Elvira (Cridge) Riska, 94, of Hopewell Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026 in Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford, PA.
She was born on February 26, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Norman Howard and Rosella J. (Schindehette) Cridge. Elvira retired from Duquesne Light Company where she worked as a teller for many years. She was a talented seamstress, avid crafter, and a longtime flea marketer. She and Ed always stayed busy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Robert Riska; a brother, Norman H. (Helen) Cridge, Jr.; and an infant sister, Charlotte Cridge.
She is survived by eight nieces and nephews, Carolyn Cridge Pardue; Carol Cridge Jackson; Norman Cridge and his wife Alicia; Janet Anderson; Joan Pash; Harry Poth; Leanne Worhatch; and Patricia Rice; four great nieces and nephews, Robert Jackson and his wife Teresa; Michelle Quatman and her husband Lenny; Michael Jackson; and Neil Cridge and his wife Amanda; and three great-great nieces, Ella Quatman; Kylee Cridge; and Alanna Jackson.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11am.
Private entombment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
