Elizabeth Jordan Obituary

Elizabeth “Lizzie” (George) Jordan, 65, of Aliquippa, passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2022, at Heritage Valley Sewickley after a brief illness, and was reunited with her beloved husband. Born April 22, 1957, in Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late John Arthur George, Jr. and Anna (Hostovichak) George. Lizzie spent most of her adult life loving and caring for her family. For several years, she was a volunteer pierogi lady alongside her mother at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church in Aliquippa. She was a member of several West Virginia genealogical societies where she voluntarily spent many hours researching to help people find their relatives. She enjoyed puzzles, collecting antiques, genealogy, sitting with her beloved dogs and watching her favorite old TV shows, sewing, gardening, and putting a smile on everyone’s faces with her delicious cooking and baking; pirohy, holubky, meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, and carrot cakes being her specialties. She was a Catholic by faith. Lizzie had a kind and gentle spirit and an amazing sense of humor. Surviving are a daughter, Jessica Marie Jordan, and her partner, Joseph Demko, Eastvale; a son, Aaron Jordan and his partner, Deborah Klodowski; two sisters, Kathy (George) Jezewski (Michael), of Ohio and Deborah George (Paul Branchetti), Aliquippa; a brother, J. Carl George (Janet), Economy; a sister-in-law, Donna (Jordan) Brehm (Greg), Hopewell Township; two brothers-in-law, Donald “Jake” Jordan and Scott Jordan, both of Aliquippa; two aunts, Ann “Cissy” Nutter, Brunswick, Ohio and Barb Smith (Frank), Economy; an uncle, William George, Midland; special nephews, Daniel Kovolenko, John Jordan, James Jordan and Liam Downing; special friends, Ken Villella (Becky), Ambridge; Jose Angel Herrera (Ashley), their son, Roman Herrera (for whom she loved being “Baba”); Dr. Vernon Lovasik (Darlene); her dogs, Otis and Asa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, on October 21, 2020, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clark Allen Jordan, whom she married on October 19, 1977; her father- and mother-in-law, Edward Donald Jordan and Marjorie Hicks Jordan; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Betsy” Parada; and a niece, Charlissa Parada Dinco. According to her wishes, all arrangements will be private and there will be no viewing.
