Don Jeffrey "DJ" Schrader

Don Jeffrey “DJ” Schrader, 57, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

He was born on April 17, 1963, a son of Donald and Lois (Magee) Schrader.  He attended Keystone Oaks High School and graduated in the class of 1981.  He served his apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local #5 in Pittsburgh and was an active working member.  Don met his wife Barbara Andrews in 1991 and moved to Hopewell Twp. in 1998.  He and Barbara were married in 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Don and Barbara welcomed a son Nathan in 2001 and a daughter Zowie in 2007.  He loved to visit the Matthews Family Farm for holidays and hunting.  He also loved hunting and fishing with  his son Nathan and often times with his brother Todd.  He loved to camp in Barkeyville with relatives and friends, Tionesta for trout fishing and hunting with his son at a friend’s cabin, and he enjoyed softball games and quad rides with his daughter Zowie.

Don is survived by his wife, Barbara Schrader; a son, Nathan Schrader; a daughter, Zowie Schrader; a brother, Todd Schrader; his aunt, Karen Walthour; Sister-in-law, Loretta O’Conner; Niece, Courtney; and nephews, Kiefer  and Riley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for Don’s children’s education funds.
