Charles W. Heiser

Charles W. Heiser, 76, of Independence Twp., passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022.

He was born on May 20, 1946 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William Charles and Virginia Gertrude (Lint) Heiser.  Charles was a member of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.  He worked for P&LE Railroad before beginning a career as an aircraft mechanic.  He retired from American Airlines after 35 years where he was a member of the I.A.M. Potomac Air Lodge 1976.  He was a life-long motorcyclist and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and spending time out in the woods.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Heiser.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Margaret M. (Schmittlein) Heiser; a son, Travis Heiser (Cassandra Foust); two daughters, Charla Heiser; and Heidi D. (Heiser) Lang and her husband Jason; two grandchildren, Dylan Heiser and Samantha Lang; and a sister, Virginia “Ginger” Rittler and her husband James.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
