Charles David

Charles (Charlie) David, 82 of Greenville, Pa., formerly of Hopewell, Pa., passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2022.

Charles was the son of the late Anthony (Iggy) and Mildred (Mutz Frazzini) David. He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony David Jr.

Charles is survived by a sister, Merrianne Cacali and her husband, Allan (Stephen), a brother, Richard David: A sister-in-law, Judi David; a niece, Amber Cacali; nephews, Michael, Richard and Christopher David; longtime friends, Betsy Ellis and Beverly Martin.

Charles was a graduate of Hopewell High School and Duquesne University. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as the Production Manager of the Commissioned Officer’s Club in Great Lakes, Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his life, he worked in the Food Service Industry as a manager and creator of various restaurant enterprises. In his later years, he retired to his family farm in Greenville, Pa. During this time, he worked as a greeter and athletic manager for the Mercer School District. Charles was a lifetime member of the DAV where he served as Chaplain. He was an active member of the the Freedonia Presbyterian Church in Freedonia Church.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, September 29,2022 for a memorial gathering from 4pm-6pm at the Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc. 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa, Pa.

A memorial Service will be held at the Freedonia Presbyterian Church, 24 Water Street, Freedonia Pa. On October 1, 2022 at 11:00 am.
