Cashmere A. “Cash” Olszanski, 94, of Center Twp., passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023.
He was born on April 8, 2023 in Monaca, PA a son of the late Anthony and Mary (Scviska) Olszanski. He was a devout Christian man dedicated to the Catholic Church. He was a member of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish-St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Cash was well known in the Monaca-Aliquippa area and established Center Exit Tire with his brother Gabriel and he also proudly served in the U.S. Army. He is also known for digging many basements in the Center-area during his excavating years, but he also worked in the mill, installed sewer systems, was an occasional coal miner, raised mink with his brother Charles “Chuck” Olszanski. With tremendous love, we are saddened by our loss but rejoice in his new life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Olszanski; six brothers, John; Charles; and Paul Olszanski; Joseph (Helen) Olszanski; Walter (Marge) Olszanski; and Gabriel Olszanski; two sisters, Helen Olszanski; and Sophie (Gerry) Meidinger; and a brother-in-law, Mike Dubaich.
He is survived by his children, Tony Olszanski and his wife Christine; Scott Olszanski and his wife Corey; and Julie Olszanski; two grandchildren, Ashley and Rachel Olszanski; and two sisters; Antoinette Fitzgerald and Helen Dubaich.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Monaca.
