Anita M. Poore

Anita M. Poore, 93, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022.

She was born on November 16, 1928 in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Charles and Angeline (Sergi) Cercone.  Anita was a member of Mary, Queen of Saints Roman Catholic Parish, Our Lady of Fatima Church where she was a long-time volunteer for various church functions.  She also was a teacher at Our Lady of Fatima School for 38 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey E. Poore; and a brother, Charles Cercone.

Anita is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Gress and her husband John; two sons, Michael Poore and his wife Susan; and Raymond Poore; four grandchildren, John H. (Jennifer) Gress; Mitchell (Jessica) Poore; Garrett Poore; and Ashley Poore; a sister-in-law, Joan Cercone; two nephews, Michael and Charles Cercone; and a great niece, Tiffany Cercone.

The family would like to thank Debbie Chupa for the love and care she provided to Anita.
