Andrew “Buster” Bystry, Jr., 71, of Raccoon Twp., passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021.
He was born on January 7, 1950, in Waynesburg, PA, to the late Andrew and Mary Frances (Lewandowsky) Bystry. Andrew retired from the Army Corps of Engineers after 44 dedicated years as an inspector of the area’s locks and dams. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the V.F.W. He enjoyed making candles, woodworking, crosswords, Scrabble, bird-watching, music, good movies, jokes, rooting for the Steelers, golf, and playing with his dogs Razzy and Lucy.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Kay (Ondrejko) Bystry; a daughter, Stacy Bystry; a son, Jason Bystry; a brother, David Bystry; a sister, Patty Plummer; and six nephews, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Mitchell, Christopher, and Thomas. He is also survived by extended family members Frank Gentile, Tina Anterock, and Eddie Burrie; grandchildren Madison, Hunter, Tymme, Taylor, Lily, Aubrey, Rylan; and two great grandchildren, Brynlee and Kaden.
