W. McDonald Obituary

W. Wayne McDonald, 85, of Independence Twp., passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018.

He was born on November 2, 1932 in Coraopolis, PA a son of the late William and Anna (Sloop) McDonald. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Wayne was a retired teamster, but his passion was farming.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Wayne McDonald; three brothers, David McDonald; Bob McDonald; and Fred McDonald; and four sisters, Ruth Moffat; Hazel McDonald; Jean Oellig; and Shirley Sgro.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Frances (Jodikinos) McDonald; five children, William McDonald and his wife Cindy; Susan App and her husband Doug; Jeffrey McDonald and his wife Carolyn; Margaret Moore and her husband Todd; and David McDonald and his wife Carrie; eleven grandchildren, Lisa Geibel; Lauren Tobin; Heather Michaux; Shannon Michaux; Steven Rassmussen; Krista Moore; Jared Moore; David McDonald; Emma McDonald; Elizabeth McDonald; and Ben McDonald; and six great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc. 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa PA 15001 www.darrochfuneralhome.com where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am.

Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
