June Rose Batvinskas

June Rose Batvinskas, 92, of Aliquippa, passed away peacefully at Villa of St. Joseph, Baden, PA on Friday, December 1, 2017.

She is with the Lord and her beloved husband of 72 years, George A. Batvinskas, who recently passed away on August 27, 2017. They are now together in their heavenly home.

She was born in Aliquippa, on June 18, 1925 a daughter of the late John and Margaret Sampson.

She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Carol Batvinskas of Aliquippa and Arlene Patton of DeBary, Fla; beloved grandchildren, Philip G. Patton and his wife Karen of Moon Twp and Rochelle Patton of DeBary, Fla; blessed with a one year old great-grand-daughter, Ava Patton of Moon Twp; a very dear sister, Mayvon Candelmo of Hopewell Twp; a special nephew Paul A. and his wife Gina Batvinskas of Clinton, PA; and several god-children, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to thank: Villa of St. Joseph and staff; Dr. Tatum, Dr. Thimons, and staff; Rev. Michael Polosky, Rev. Philip Bumbar for all their compassionate and spiritual care.

June was a retired nurse who cared for so many people, especially her family.

She is a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the woman’s guild, in Aliquippa.

Mom, we all love and will miss you so dearly.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. in DARROCH CREMATION AND FUNERAL TRIBUTES, INC., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. at Darroch’s with Divine Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2001 Main Street, Aliquippa with Father Michael Polosky.

Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

Confraternity of Christian Mothers of St.Titus Catholic Church will recite a rosary on Thursday at 6:30 PM, in the funeral home.
