Julia (Vohar) Walko

Julia (Vohar) Walko, 87, of Aliquippa, passed away on Palm Sunday,  April 9, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 25, 1930 to the late John and Helen (Danko) Vohar; where she was the last surviving member of her family and a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Ambridge. Julia treasured spending time with her beloved family.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years in 2008, John Walko; four brothers; George (Anna), John (Agnes), Albert, and Stephen; four sisters; Mary (George) Kuchtjak, Margaret (Paul) Fetkovich, and two in infancy/childhood; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Walko and Andrew (Dorothy) Evan; and a sister in-law, Agnes Johnson.

Julia is survived by four daughters, Audrey (Robert) Wright of Latrobe, Theresa (William) Catley of Hopewell Twp., Nancy (Frank) Climo of New Springfield, OH and Julie Anna Walko of Westminster, MD; thirteen grandchildren; Jonathan (Laura Stossel) Wright, Christopher (Tara) Wright, Dr. Matthew Wright, Kristen (Brian) Pflugh, Jason Catley, Jennifer (Brandon) McClintock, Rachel (fiancé, Zach Perry) Catley, Ryan Catley, Victoria Climo, Nathan Climo, Adam Hitt, Samuel Hitt, and Joshua Hitt; five great-grandchildren; Brinley, Farah, Delanie, Brock, and Grace; a sister-in-law, Anne Walko; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Tuesday April 10th, 2017 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa PA 15001. www.darrochfuneralhome.com where closing prayers will be offered on Wednesday morning at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 10:00am
