Anthony F. Piccirilli

February 24, 1923 ~ December 4, 2017 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Anthony F. Piccirilli, 94, of Aliquippa, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 in Brighton Wellness and Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident since 2003.

He was born on February 24, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Paul and Elizabeth (LeDonne) Piccirilli.  Anthony was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church. He was a proud WWII veteran who served as a Technician 5th Grade in the pacific theatre in Company C 860th Engineers Aviation Battalion. He was retired from J&L Steel Corp. where he worked as a maintenance foreman.   He was a true  Aliquippa Football fan, he was a member of Celtic Reds, the M.P.I., he was an avid bowler, and he enjoyed playing poker.

In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his wife, Anita (Belli)  Piccirilli; dedicated in-laws, Luigi and Maria Belli;  a brother, Paul Piccirilli and his wife Helen; two sisters, Lena Ermi and her husband Enrico; and Concetta Cenci and her husband Alec; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Vespaziani; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Danny and Dora Brash.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa DelTondo and her husband Joe; a son, Fred Picirilli and his wife Suzanne; three grandchildren, Dr. Joseph Anthony DelTondo and his wife Danalyn; Rachael Elena DelTondo; and Anthony Michael Piccirilli; two great grandchildren, Amelia Grace DelTondo and Joseph Luigi DelTondo; a sister, Betty Vespaziani;  special nieces and nephews, Jackie and Al Belcastro, and Ronald and Janice Brash.  He is also survived by numerous additional nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Brighton Wellness and Rehabilitation Center 4 east, 3 east, and most recently 3 west for their wonderful and compassionate care.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3pm to 8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 11am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the cemetery on Thursday at 12:30pm to conduct full military honors.
