Mario Giallorenzo

On Friday, July 9, 2021 Mario Giallorenzo, loving husband and father to four children, passed away at the age of 86.

Mario was born on July 5, 1935 in Sulmona, Italy.  In November of 1952, Mario came by boat to Ellis Island.  Eight years later he served for two years in the U.S. Army.  He had a great passion for classical music, classical art, and history.

Mario is survived by his wife Amalia, of 55 years, and his four children: Fabiola (Ed Gergerich), Marcello, Ezio, and Patrizio, as well as his seven grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 13 from 4pm to 8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com. Friends who wish to pay their final respects for Mario will be received at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 14 at the funeral home. Friends can remain with the family in prayer, or go directly to St. Titus Church to join in the Rosary. Requiem Mass at St. Titus Church will begin at 11:00am, which will be livestreamed. 

While flowers are welcome, the family would appreciate Masses offered at Mary Queen of Saints Parish, St. Titus Worship Site (Franklin Ave.- Aliquippa, PA / 724-378-8561), Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish (California Ave.- Pittsburgh, PA / 412-761-1508), or the Pittsburgh Oratory (Baynard St. - Pittsburgh, PA / 412-681-3181).
