Peter H. Dukovcic, Jr., 88, formerly of Hopewell Twp. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
He was known as “Pete” and “Uncle Pete” to friends and family, and “Opat” to his beloved granddaughter. Pete was born on June 27, 1935 in Rochester, PA a son of the late Peter Sr. and Anne (Bandula) Dukovcic. Pete graduated from Aliquippa High School, and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He lived in Hopewell Twp. with his wife and daughters for over 50 years, and was a member of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish – Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He worked as an electrician for J&L Steel Corporation and LTV Steelworks. He enjoyed bowling and going to the Center of the Mall Senior Center, and the New Brighton YMCA. In his later years, Pete resided in Atria Senior Living, Cranberry, and Sunrise Senior Living, McCandless.
In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine (LaMarca) Dukovcic; two brothers, Dan Dukovcic and Albert Dukovich; and two sisters, Barbara Seech and Diane Viner.
Pete is survived by his two daughters, Amy Dukovcic and Joanna Shanoski, as well as son-in-law Paul and beloved granddaughter, Cassandra. Also surviving are Pete’s two brothers, Bob Dukovich and his wife Theresa; and Ed Dukovich; a sister, Mary Ann Dubots Kapral; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joanne and Martin Liberatore, brother-in-law, Bill LaMarca, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Atria at Cranberry Woods, Sunrise Senior Living McCandless, Commonwealth Hospice, and Vincentian Home for their exceptionally kind and compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 5th 2024 in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 10am. Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
