Velia (Pelino) Mastramico

Velia (Pelino) Mastramico, 73, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016.

She was born on October 29, 1942 in Pacentro, Italy, a daughter of the late Giulio  and Maria (Vapore) Pelino and she was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.  Velia was a 1962 graduate of Aliquippa High School and she was a sewing instructor for night classes held at Aliquippa High School and Hopewell Area High School.

She is survived by her husband, Michele “Mike” Mastramico, Hopewell Twp.; two sons, Michael Mastramico, of Florida; and Philip Mastramico and his wife Clare, of Maryland; two brothers, Carmine Pelino and his wife Carol, Pasadena, MD; and Venanzio Pelino and his wife Prudence, Hopewell Twp.; a sister, Josie Persi and her husband Greg, Hopewell Twp.; four grandchildren, Alesha Renee Mastramico; Stefan Michael Mastramico; Christian Philip Mastramico; and Roman Andrew Mastramico; three sisters-in-law, Lucy Marchionda, Phoenix, AZ; Lisa Liberato Troia, Monaca; and Virginia Cercone and her husband Nino, Monaca; and a brother-in-law, Patsy Mastramico, Hopewell Twp.   She is also survived by numerous wonderful nieces, nephews, and God Children.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2pm to 7pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic  Church.

Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
