Sherri (Toomey) Basalyga

Sherri (Toomey) Basalyga, 65, of Aliquippa, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016.

She was born on August 7, 1950 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Dorothy (Casey) Toomey and the late John Toomey.

In addition to her father, Sherri was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Basalyga.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Brooks Thayer; three daughters, Melissa Basalyga and her husband Ryan Burton; Dina Basalyga and her husband Michael Ragan; and Angel Basalyga and her husband Todd Siegfried; four grandchildren, Tevin Basalyga; Carissa Badami; Cheyenne Siegfried; and Rylie Thayer; two brothers, Jack Toomey and his wife Peggy; and Tim Toomey and his wife Geri.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where a funeral service will begin on Thursday at 8pm with Pastor Deborah Huffmyer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
