Sandra Lou “Sandy” Nan, 74, of Raccoon Twp. passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, February 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born of February 24, 1943 in Raccoon Township, Aliquippa, the child of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Brooks. She was one of two daughters.
Sandy graduated from Hopewell High School in 1961. She attended Robert Morris Business School. She went on to work for Hopewell Area School District in 1963. She retired from the Hopewell Memorial Junior High School after 52 years as a secretary. Sandy was a recipient of The Hopewell Alumni Award.
She devoted her life to her faith, her family, and her community. She was very active at Ohio United Presbyterian Church of Hopewell. The humble and gracious manner in which she lived out her faith set forth a compelling example of the Christian walk that touched the lives of so many and brought glory to our Father in heaven.
Sandy is survived by the love of her life Robert Aaron Nan whom she married in 1969. They were married for 48 years. A son, Eric Aaron Nan and his wife Kristen. Her two grandsons Trent and Jack whom she counted among her most treasured blessings. A sister and brother-in-law David and Susan Jackson. A niece Melissa Jackson and her husband Christopher McAneny. And a nephew Collin Jackson.
She was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister and aunt. She held a deep and abiding love for her Lord Jesus Christ. Her many friends and family members mourn her passing after an extended fight with cancer.
The family would like to thank the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice, especially her nurse Peggy for her compassionate care.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10am in Ohio United Presbyterian Church in Hopewell.
Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
