Ruth Laney

Ruth Laney, 95, of Raccoon Twp., passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 in East Liverpool Hospital.

She was born on December 27, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA  a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Crudden) Murphy and she was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, William Laney; a brother, George Murphy; and a sister, Mary Grossi.

She is survived by a son, William Laney and his wife Linda, Raccoon Twp.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Laney and his wife Michele; and Vickie Laney; two great grandchildren, Jennifer Mayo and her husband Josh; and Rebecca Fifield and her husband Brett; a brother, Joseph Murphy and his wife Violet, Center Twp.; and a sister, Helen Baker, Hopewell Twp.

The family would like to thank the aides and nurses at Stone Pear Pavillion and the staff on 4 east at East Liverpool Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
