Regis J. Domitrovich

September 17, 1939 ~ February 4, 2017 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Regis Jude Thomas Domitrovich, 77, died Saturday, February 4, 2017, in the company of his family and loved ones.  Born September 17, 1939 in Aliquippa, the son of the late John and Anna Pauvlinch Domitrovich.  Regis was a lifetime resident of Aliquippa.  He married Frances Ann Gorup of Ambridge, PA.  Regis spotted Frances for the first time at the Serbian picnic in Aliquippa.  Frances was with some girls and Regis told his friend that one is mine and I am going to marry her.  The two of them were always together, in good times and in bad they never left each other’s side.

Regis and Frances were both members of Saint Titus Church and volunteered at the Sisters of St. Joseph Harvest Festival flea market for 22 years.  Regis helped his brother Walter on many Saint Titus projects.  His brothers and sisters were very important to him.  Out of high school Regis worked for his brother Ray (Aliquippa Packing) delivering meat.  Later he hired on with Jones&  Laughlin Steel Corporation in Aliquippa spending most of those years in the Ore Yard as brakeman, engineer, and conductor – he loved those trains.  A man who lived with pain, he made many sacrifices for God, his family and friends.  He lived with his brother Joe in West Aliquippa for many years – they had many adventures together.  Because of surgery, Regis was blessed to live for the past year and a half at the Villa Saint  Joseph Baden among amazing people and members of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.

Regis is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Regis and Lorraine Domitrovich of Independence Township, and Thomas and Bobbi Jo Domitrovich of Weirton, WV; two grandchildren, Regis M. Domitrovich of Independence Twp., and his girlfriend Chelsea Guthrie; and David Domitrovich of Independence Twp., and his girlfriend Kaitlyn Boff; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Helen Domitrovich of Beaver, PA; sister, Anne “Toots” Klesser, of Conway, PA; sister-in-law, Gerry Domitrovich of Aliquippa, PA; sister-in-law, Rita Domitrovich of Center Twp.; brother-in-law, Chuck Hrelic; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sophie and Eli Rodich of Moon Twp.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Ruth Ann Gorup, Naperville, IL.; friends, Hanna Flam and her daughter Jessica; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters; Frank Domitrovich; John “Murph” Domitrovich; Tillie (Stanley) Sowa; Jean Domitrovich; Walter “Butsy” Domitrovich; Ray (Wilma) Domitrovich; Catherine (Rudy) “Doodie” Vukovcan; Bill (Betty) Domitrovich; Joe Domitrovich.

In lieu of flowers, Mass intentions can be made in his name to either St. Titus Catholic Church in Aliquippa or Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Hopewell Twp.  Donations can also be made in his name to Sisters of St. Joseph, Baden, PA.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 11am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery.
