Regina M. Brehany

Regina M. Brehany, 85, of Aliquippa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on May 29, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA a daughter of the late Lawrence and Florence (Moritz) Baumgarten.  Regina was a faithful member of St. Titus Catholic Church and she was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.  Regina was very active in her church.  Through her faith and selflessness, she volunteered her time to the church and Titan Hall.  She was a recipient of the Father Marcus O’Brien Award and she was a member of Fab 50, and the Catholic Daughters of America.  She was also a former May Queen for the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Brehany; and six sisters, Florence Weber; Theresa Staley;  Ester Baumgarten;  Dorothy Baumgarten; Rosemary Cindrich; and Helen Goettler.

Regina is survived by her loving children, Clifford J. Brehany and his wife Teresa, Savanah, GA; Ralph Brehany, Savanah, GA; Barbara Maxwell and her husband Ken, Hilton Head, SC; Mary Kay Phelps and her husband Bill, Coraopolis; and Jennifer Mullins and her husband Bill, Hopewell Twp.; eleven grandchildren, Lauren (Mike) Connolly; Lindsey (Colin) Harrison; Madison Maxwell; Weston (Megan) Phelps; William Phelps; Nicole Phelps; Chase Brehany; Pierce Brehany; Caitlin (Doug) Schreiber; Cassidy Mullins; and Christopher Mullins; five great grandchildren, Bryson; Brock; Addison; Kennedy; and Grayson; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Brehany and his wife Caroline, Mesa, AZ.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Monday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am In St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

The St. Titus Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite a Rosary of Sunday at 1:30pm in the funeral home.
