Norman F. Kyle

August 24, 1920 ~ April 24, 2016 (age 95) 95 Years Old

Norman F. Kyle, 95, of Aliquippa, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Heritage Valley Sewickley.

He was born on August 24, 1920 in Aliquippa, a son of the late Norman and Sadie (Shaffer) Kyle and he was retired from J&L Steel Corp. where he worked for more than 40 years.  Norman was a John Wayne fan and he collected more than 100 trains.   He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the infantry and was a P.O.W. for over 700 days in Prussia and Egypt.

In addition to  his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Kyle; two sons, Robert and Kenneth Kyle; and a grandson, John Scheeler, Jr..

Norman is survived by three daughters, Joyce Kyle Gallagher; Betty Scheeler; and Lisa Brown and her husband Jim; 9 grandchildren, Jimmy and Michael Brown; Denise Scheeler; Jennifer (Chad) Jeffress; Donnie (Tami) Gallagher; Barbara (Michael) Bush; Tammy Kyle; Meghan Sackett; and Amber Kyle; 16 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4pmand 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the cemetery on Thursday at 12:15pm to conduct full military honors.
