Lenora Calabria

October 9, 1917 ~ June 20, 2016 (age 98) 98 Years Old

Lenora P. Calabria, 98, formerly of Aliquippa, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 in Franciscan Manor.

She was born on October 9, 1917 in Yorkville, OH a daughter of the late Carmine and Mary Calabria and she was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church.  She was a graduate of Aliquippa High School and Duff’s Business School.  She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Campbell and retired from Marsh-McClendon Insurance Brokers in Pittsburgh where she worked as an accountant.

In addition to her parents, Lenora was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Jane Calabria; and two sisters, Rose J. Calabria; and Philomena (Florence) Calabria.

She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Chad and Michele Calabria, Chippewa; Craig and Catherine Calabria, Yardley, PA; Donna and Bill Poeta, Old Lyme, CT; Celeste and Michael Viner, Centerbrook, CT; Glenn and Kathy Calabria, Moon Twp; Diane and Shahriar Mahaurakh, Eldorado, CA; and Shawn and Sherry Calabria, Germantown, TN; great nieces and great nephews, Joelle and David Finch; Nicole and David Santoro; Dante and Megan Calabria; Natasha, Kristen, and Darcy Calabria; Devon Poeta; Alexandra, Jordan, and Jared Calabria; Mikhael, Michayla, and Dahveed Mahaurakh; Bryce and Garrett Calabria; great great nieces and great great nephews , Breana, Samantha and  Gabriella Finch; Samuel, Ava, and Nicholas Santoro ;Francesca and Giovanna Calabria.  She is also survived by many other family and dear friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Franciscan Manor, especially Mary Lou, Jessica, and Jennifer,  Dr. Timothy Jackson and staff, and the staff of Kindred  Hospice, especially Katie and Melissa  for the compassionate care they provided Lenora.

Friends will be received on Wednesday  from 4pm to 8pm  in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Thursday  at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
