Josella Cerneskie

July 22, 1922 ~ June 22, 2017 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Josella Cerneskie, 94, of Aliquippa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 22, 2017.

She was born on July 22, 1922 in New Castle, PA a daughter of the late Guido and Ernesta (DiJuliamaria) Fabrizzi and she was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church.  Josella was active with Life Beaver, 50 plus at St. Frances Cabrini, and she loved playing bingo.  She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed cooking homemade Italian food and taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Cerneskie; a daughter, Veronica Cerneskie; a son-in-law, Herbert Tisch; two brothers, Anthony Fabrizzi and Vincent Fabrizzi; and three sisters, Valeria DeMatteis; Josephine Prescan; and Margaret West.

Josella is survived by two daughters, Grace Peros Tisch, Hopewell Twp.; and Christine Shea and her husband Mike, of Ohio; two sons, Anthony Cerneskie and his wife Terri, of New York; and Ernest Cerneskie and his wife Michele, Center Twp.; ten grandchildren, David (Sharon) Tisch; Denise (Jeff) Stablow; Susan (Mark) Ross; Tia (Dale) Jipson; Trent Shea; Danny Cerneskie; Gracie Cerneskie; Sean Cerneskie; Josh Lynn; and Bo Bentz; eight great grandchildren, Jesse; Austin; Evan; Reed; Jack; Cody; Stella; and Dale; and a sister-in-law, Helen Montoro.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Tuesday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
