James O. "Jim" Shivler, Jr.

James O. “Jim” Shivler, Jr., 83, of Raccoon Twp., passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on October 24, 1931 in Aliquippa,  a son of the late James and Margaret Shivler, and he was the owner and operator of Shivler’s Barber Shop in Hookstown for the past 40 years.  Jim was a member of Community Bible Church and he also attended Pathway Church in Chippewa.  As a young man, Jim was the egg delivery guy in the Hookstown area.  He also served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Shivler; and a sister, Betty Straight.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy R. Shivler, Raccoon Twp.; a loving son, James O. “Jay” Shivler, III, Raccoon Twp; and a loving daughter, Deborah K. Shivler, Raccoon Twp.  He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday from 4pm to 8pm and on Saturday from 10am until the time of funeral service at 11am in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com

Interment will follow in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown, PA
