Helena "Nina" Fricano

Helena “Nina” Fricano, 86, formerly of Aliquippa, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.

She was born on April 9, 1928 in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Carmelo and Antonina (DaQuila) Fricano and she was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church.  Helena retired from Consol Energy where she worked for many years as an administrative assistant.

In addition to her parents, Helena was preceded in death by three brothers, Carmen Fricano; Anthony Fricano and his wife Elvira; and Vincent J. Fricano, Sr.; and two sisters, Rose Augustine; and Frances Fricano.

She is survived by her Goddaughter, Jeanne (Costanza) Stajduhar and her husband Phil, and their children, Sam and Stephanie; and dear friends, Elizabeth (Costanza) DePietress and her husband Warren; Richard Costanza; and Paul Ferrara and his wife Janine; nieces and nephews, Anthony Fricano; Angela Fricano; Mary Ann Fricano; Charles Fricano; Vincent Fricano and his wife Debbie; and Antoinette Dwyer; and sister-in-law, Mary Fricano.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Friday at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
