George S. Birocco

George S. Birocco, 65, of Crescent Twp., passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015.

He was born on April 28, 1950 in Oil City, PA a son of the late Anthony and Virginia (Galizia) Birocco and he worked at J&L Steel Corp. until along with his brother Anthony, opened a transmission repair shop where he worked for many years until his retirement.  George was an avid gardener and loved raising tomatoes to share with friends. Roses were his favorite flower. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid competitive black powder shooter.  He also enjoyed cars and participating in car cruises. He took great pride in his 1934 Ford Coupe cruise car.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy (Gray) Birocco, Crescent Twp.; two brothers, Gene Birocco and his wife Agnes, Williamsburg, VA; and Anthony Birocco and his wife Shari, Center Twp.; and a sister, Marjorie Ann Trunick and her husband Philip, Imperial.  He is also survived by five nephews and three nieces.

There will be no viewing for George. A celebration of life memorial service will be conducted at a future date, to be announced.
